Syracuse, NY -- Syracuse police are looking for two suspects who shot a man in the leg this morning during an armed robbery on Ostrander Avenue.
Here’s what police said happened.
At about 4 a.m. this morning, Vanita Moore, 32, of Syracuse, was driving in the 200 block of Ostrander Avenue when she stopped her vehicle because a pedestrian was standing in the street.
When the vehicle stopped, two men approached it. One displayed a handgun. The suspects robbed Moore and her passenger, James Cotton, 35, of Syracuse.
Cotton was shot in the leg during the incident. He was driven to Upstate University Hospital, where he reported the robbery to police. Cotton was treated for a non-life-threatening injury, police said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 442-5222.
