Two teenagers were arrested after a Manlius police investigation into a six-month-long string of burglaries and thefts from vehicles in the village.
Maurice Giles, 16, of 302 Washington St., Fayetteville, was charged Wednesday with several counts of burglary, grand larceny, possession of stolen property and criminal mischief.
A 15-year-old was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property and released on an appearance ticket.
During the investigation, detectives developed information that allowed them to seek search warrants in the village of Manlius. During the execution of the search warrants, detectives said they recovered property taken in several crimes.
Police also recovered property that matched items taken in burglaries in the town of DeWitt.
Police still have several pieces of stolen property and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the rightful owners. Anyone with any information on the property should call 682-2212.
