Syracuse, NY -- A Syracuse man was slashed across the face with a box cutter Wednesday as he walked out of the rear door of his West Newell Street home while carrying a bag in his arms, Syracuse police said.
Eddie Jones, 29, suffered a three-inch laceration from his left cheek to the right side of his chin which took 24 stitches to close, according to Syracuse police records.
Darcy L. Walker, 37, of 212 W. Calthop Ave., was charged with assault, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Walker asked Jones what was going on between Jones and Walker's girlfriend before Walker slashed him, Jones told police.
