Syracuse, NY--Tops Friendly Markets is recalling a limited number of cases of Veggie Lover’s Salad with a product code of I208 and a use-by date of Aug. 10 due to a possible health risk from listeria bacteria.
No other Fresh Express salads are included in the recall. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
One package of Veggie Lover’s salad tested positive for listeria in a random sample test by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
Customers who bought the recalled product should stop using it and either throw it out or return it to Tops for a full refund. The product code and use-by date are in the upper right-hand corner of the package.
