Poll: 48% of Americans say Obama doesn't deserve a second term

Almost half of Americans think President Barack Obama does not deserve another term come 2012, according to a recent Quinnipiac University Poll.

The poll, released Wednesday, shows that 48 percent of the public thinks Obama doesn’t deserve to be re-elected. Four in ten say surveyed say that he does deserve another term.

If the election were to be held today, 36 percent of people surveyed said they would vote for Obama. Thirty-nine percent say they would vote for the Republican candidate.

Thirteen percent of those surveyed were unsure, saying their vote would depend on the Republican candidate. Twelve percent were undecided.
