Camillus, NY -- Two Camillus teenagers were charged with felonies in the last week in connection with a purse-snatching in early June, Camillus Police said.
Both were caught after police released to The Post-Standard photos from a security camera at a Camillus Mobil station that showed the two allegedly using a credit card from the stolen purse June 11, investigators said.
Nicole E. Zarach, 19, of 112 Viceroy Drive, and Anna C. Prusinowski, 18, of 110 Gordon Parkway, were each charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property, said Camillus Police Chief Thomas Winn.
Zarach was sent to jail, with bail set at $3,000 bond or $1,500 cash after her arrest Tuesday. Prusinowski was released on an appearance ticket.
The teens are accused of stealing a woman's purse and using stolen credit cards at gas stations, fast food joints and Wegmans, investigators said.
Police had a pretty good idea who one of the suspects was before releasing the video, said Detective Matthew Hare. Tips after the video was released helped authorities confirm the identity. They later arrested the second suspect.
