Manlius, NY -- A five-car chain-reaction accident in Manlius sent five people to the hospital Friday afternoon.
Police said three cars were stopped facing southbound on North Burdick Street in front of the Links at Erie Village waiting for the first car to turn left when a fourth vehicle came from behind and struck the third car, pushing it forward into the second and the second into the first.
The fourth vehicle, a van adapted for use by a disabled person, rolled backward, striking a fifth southbound car before going off the side of North Burdick Street into a deep ditch.
None of the five people taken to the hospital, including the driver of the minivan, had serious injuries, police said.
