Syracuse, NY -- A low pressure system moving across Central New York this afternoon and evening is expected to carry showers and thunderstorms that may cause flash flooding, according to the National Weather Service. Heavy rain is expected to continue tonight, and showers and thunderstorms will stay in the picture Wednesday and possibly Thursday.

High temperatures are expected to remain in the low- to mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service.
