LaFayette, NY -- No one was reported injured tonight after a fire gutted a split-level home on Lafayette Road, near Barker Hill Road, according to emergency responders.
The 8 p.m. fire started in the garage, spreading to the attached house at 3973 Lafayette Road. A floor of the house sits above the area where the fire started.
At least a half-dozen fire departments responded. The fire was knocked down in about half an hour.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
