A Syracuse man died Tuesday from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash in the town of Sennett, Cayuga County sheriff’s deputies said today.
Andres D. McArthur, 36, of 915 Kirkpatrick St., was operating a 2003 Honda motorcycle westbound about 3:55 p.m. on Grant Avenue Road when a 2006 Kia made a left hand turn onto Grant Avenue from County House Road, deputies said.
McArthur was unable to avoid a collision with the Kia and struck the left rear side of the car. McArthur was thrown from the motorcycle on impact.
McArthur was taken to Upstate University Hospital by helicopter, where he later died.
The operator of the Kia was identified by deputies as Keith J. Juman, 35, of 404 Breakspear Road, Syracuse. Juman was ticketed for failure to yield right-of-way on a left turn.
