Syracuse, NY -- Local business and non-profit leaders will arrive by foot, bike and relay team at the United Way of Central New York offices Friday for "Walk the Talk," a rally to show their support for making Central New York a better place.
The rally at the United Way’s offices at the corner of James and Townsend Streets in Syracuse takes place from 12:15 – 12:45 p.m. An update on the organization’s fundraising campaign will take place at 1 p.m.
James Street will be closed between Townsend and McBride streets from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. for the event. Spectators are asked to arrive by 11:45 a.m.
Starting at 11:45 a.m. a light lunch of grilled franks, chips, apples and cold cider will be served. The free event is sponsored by Wegmans, National Grid, Upstate Medical University and Inficon Inc.
