Syracuse, NY -- Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Syracuse man in the stabbing of a truck driver early Friday morning.
Police said Anthony M. Davis, 34, of Nichols Avenue, stabbed James C. Davis, 37, of East Syracuse, in the head and torso multiple times with a pocket knife after an altercation between the two.
James Davis was taken to Upstate University Hospital for his injuries, which police said were not considered life threatening.
Anthony Davis was found at the State Fair Motel on State Fair Boulevard in Syracuse.
Police said he resisted arrest and was shocked with a taser before being taken into custody.
Anthony Davis was charged with attempted burglary in the second degree, burglary in the third degree and assault in the second degree, all felonies.
He also faces misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and resisting arrest.
The case remains under investigation, and police said they anticipate a second arrest.
