Genoa, NY -- A Groton man was charged with driving while intoxicated early Wednesday following a property damage crash in Genoa, state police said.

Shane J. French, 35, of 103 Williams St., was charged with the misdemeanor after a 1:53 a.m. single-car crash on Route 34, troopers said. French had a BAC of 0.13 after the crash, troopers said.

French was issued an appearance ticket for Oct. 19 in Genoa Town Court.
