'The lawyer was not running the school board, but rather the other way around.'
Facing an often-boisterous crowd Wednesday night, Jordan-Elbridge school board president Mary Alley admitted that board members had "made mistakes," then they fired the district lawyer, whom they blamed for the bad legal advice. Here's what oncearepub had to say about it:
"It seems to me that the entire School Board should resign, immediately. A special election should be held for the open spots. That an outside auditor be brought in to look into any malfeasance by employees or board members in their actions. And move on from there. The thought that a principal can be accused of 178 supposed violations and not once be approached by the board on any of them until they reached 178 is bizarre. The decision of the board to fire the board's lawyer, claiming the board advised them on all legal matters and as such should be fired because all of their legal issues were wrong, is strange. The lawyer was not running the school board, but rather the other way around."
