Syracuse, NY – A Syracuse man who pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to first-degree sexual abuse in a case involving an 8-year-old girl was sentenced to five years in state prison today.
Luis Guardiola, 43, had nothing to say before Onondaga County Judge Joseph Fahey imposed the sentence, which also included three years of post-release supervision. An order of protection to stay away from the victim also has been issued, he told Guardiola.
Guardiola was charged in December after he allegedly touched the victim, Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Cali said.
