Syracuse, NY – The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services has renewed the accreditation of Rural/Metro Medical Services of Central New York for three years.
Rural/Metro received a perfect score during the commission’s review, company officials said.
The commission assesses an ambulance service on more than 100 standards covering agency and financial management, relations with other agencies, mutual aid and disaster coordination, community relations, human resources, clinical standards, quality improvement, safety, facilities and communications, among other categories.
Rural/Metro of Central New York is one of 133 ambulance services in 38 states, including six in New York, to win CAAS accreditation, according to the commission’s Web site.
