Mexico, NY – A Clay man remains at a Syracuse hospital this morning, two days after his motorcycle was hit by a Jeep.
Dustin F. White, 19, of 4120 Silverado Drive, Clay, was operating a 2005 Honda motorcycle south on state Route 3, Mexico, about 2:44 p.m. Saturday when it was struck by a northbound 2003 Jeep Suburban, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office said.
The driver of the Jeep, Timothy J. Sherman, 47, of 77 CCC Road, Richland, was trying to turn left onto Apple Grove Farms, about three-quarters of a mile south of Countryman Road, when the accident happened, officials said. The motorcycle then collided with a parked car, officials said.
White was taken by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital. A nursing supervisor this morning said his condition could not be disclosed.
Deputies ticketed Sherman for failure to yield the right of way, left turn, officials said.
