Oswego, NY -- Thomas Benedetto's independent petitions for Oswego County court judge were thrown out Tuesday morning by the Oswego County Board of Elections.
Elections Commissioner Richard Atkins said signatures were ruled invalid for various reasons, such as a signer had signed another candidate's petition or a signer was not a registered voter.
Benedetto needed 1,500 signatures to secure an independent line on the November ballot for county court judge. His petitions were challenged by Republican and Conservative judge candidate Donald Todd.
