Onondaga, NY -- A Manlius man was ticketed Sunday after a three-vehicle crash in Southwood that happened after he reached down to pick up a cell phone, state police said.
Zachary B. Dolan, 28, of 4829 Cavalry Green Drive, was charged with misdemeanor driving with a suspended license and failure to keep right, a violation, said Trooper David Carlo.
Dolan was going eastbound at 2:40 p.m. on East Seneca Turnpike near Providence Road when he dropped his cell phone and tried to get it, Carlo said. His Toyota Corolla swerved into oncoming traffic, striking another Corolla and a Chevrolet Venture van. Two people in the oncoming Corolla were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
All three vehicles ended up in a ditch, the van on its roof, Carlo said.
