Scriba, NY -- An Oswego man is in the county jail this morning after deputies accused him of sexual conduct with person under the age of 17.

Oswego County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday accused Richard R. DeStevens, 59, of 47 Lilly Marsh Road, of criminal sex act, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in the Volney Town Court and sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail because he had two prior felony convictions.

Deputies said DeStevens allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a person under the age of 17 in a Scriba home on Sunday.
