Tips led investigators to the driver, sheriff says.
Salina, NY -- Onondaga County sheriff's deputies have located the silver car they've been seeking since Monday's fatal crash on Onondaga Lake Parkway.
The driver of the car, John M. D'Amore, 21, of Dorando Way, Salina, is cooperating with the investigation into the crash that killed Mary Denny, 40, of North Syracuse.
Matthew Stephan, 22, of Clay, the man police identified as the driver of the car that struck Denny's Ford Taurus, remained at Upstate University Hospital Tuesday night. His condition was not available.
In a release, Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh said detectives received several tips from the public that helped them identify the driver of the silver four-door sedan that witnesses said had a Yankees sticker on the rear window.
