If we deny these Muslims the right to practice their religion freely where they want to, when they want to, then we simply become that which we despise so much.Time after time, throughout our great country's history, we have attempted to limit the rights of those with whom we don't agree or infringe on the majority. Indian Removal Acts during the Jackson Era, immigration quotas of the late 1800s and early 1900s, Plessy v. Ferguson and "separate but equal," Japanese internment during WWII, Jim Crow laws, McCarthyism. And time after time, our nation looks back to see the err of ways. Hopefully, we have learned something from our past and will not allow it to happen again.
We cannot and should not pick and choose what parts of the constitution we should follow, and which parts we should ignore when it best suits us.
