Syracuse, NY -- An Oswego burglary suspect was caught after falling and injuring his leg while being chased by witnesses Sunday morning, police said.
Joxuan Rivera-Retamar, 19, of 155 E. Third St., Oswego, was charged with felony burglary and grand larceny after the 4:46 a.m. incident on East Seventh Street, said Capt. Tory DeCaire.
Police responded as people chased Rivera-Retamar from the scene, DeCaire said. After he fell, Rivera-Retamar was taken to Oswego Hospital and later to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
Rivera-Retamar is accused of taking a laptop computer and credit card from a residence. He was arrested Monday after being treated for his injuries, DeCaire said.
He was sent to the Oswego County jail with no bail, DeCaire said.
