Oswego, NY -- Spraying for mosquitoes took place as planned Thursday night, Oswego County officials said.
Toad Harbor Swamp and nearby land was sprayed starting around 7 p.m., said county spokesperson Janet Clerkin. “There were perfect conditions,” she said.
The spraying came after scientists detected Eastern equine encephalitis in mosquitoes captured in the area.
Clerkin said another round of testing would take place to determine whether more spraying would be necessary.
