Western, NY – A motorcyclist from Syracuse broke his ankle in an accident Sunday in this Oneida County town north of Rome.
Daniel A. Forgensi, 41, was traveling west through a gorge on Route 274 about 7:40 p.m. when his motorcycle went out of control on a curved portion of the road and hit a guardrail, Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies said.
Forgensi was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center’s trauma center for treatment of the broken ankle and a severe leg cut, deputies said. He was expected to be transferred to Upstate University Hospital for further treatment, deputies said.
No tickets were issued.
