Adams Center, NY – State police have identified the victim and alleged assailant in a shooting incident here on Monday.
State police, responding to a call about 11:40 p.m. Monday to the Nice N Easy Store on Route 177, Adams Center, said they found Quinton E. Bauer with a gunshot wound to his left forearm. Bauer, 19, of Watertown, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown where he was treated and released, troopers said.
Troopers took Brandon M. LaDue, 21, of 18215 state Route 177, Apt. 5, Adams Center, into custody about 12 hours later on state Route 11 in Watertown Center and charged him with felony counts of assault and reckless endangerment. They later recovered a shotgun believed to have been used in the incident, troopers said.
LaDue was arraigned in Adams town court and ordered held at the Jefferson County Jail on bail of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
The incident appeared to be related to a dispute between Bauer and a member of LaDue’s family, troopers said.
