Town of Floyd, NY--Adam Theall, the man accused of shooting his three-month-old son while state police watched, was arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court tonight on charges of second degree murder, according to state police.

State police sent out a notice late tonight that they were taking Theall, 21, of 167 Pinehaven Circle, Blossvale, from Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where he was being treated for multiple gunshot wounds to court for his arraignment.

According to a report by Emerson Clarridge in the Observer-Dispatch, Theall arrived wearing a gray bulletproof vest, green hospital pants and shackles on his ankles. He got into a wheelchair assisted by state police troopers and was taken into the courtroom.

Judge Christopher Clarkin entered a not guilty plea for Theall, and he was sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

The charges stem from a domestic dispute Tuesday on Pine Road in the Town of Vienna. As state police responding to the dispute got of their car, Theall shot his three-month-old son, Eithen Zethrey Theall, with a long gun.

Police shot Theall 14 to 16 times after he refused to drop his weapon. Theall was taken by helicopter to Upstate for treatment.
