Brutus, NY -- A Weedsport man died Thursday night after his motorcycle crashed on East Brutus Road in the Town of Brutus.
State police in Auburn are investigating the accident that occurred at 11:30 p.m. at Putnam and East Brutus roads.
Here's what state police said happened.
Mark T. Race, 48, was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Putnam Road at a high rate of speed when the bike went off the west shoulder, overturned, slid across East Brutus Road and struck a utility pole. Race died of injuries, police said.
