West Monroe, NY -- A 4-year-old Syracuse boy helicoptered to the hospital after being struck by a car Wednesday afternoon in West Monroe has injuries that police called "non-life threatening."
State police at the Hastings barracks said Mason Miller, of Syracuse, was outside with other children shortly before 3 p.m. when he crossed into county Route 11 and into the path of a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Richard C. Souly, 79, of Lacona.
Miller was treated by SOVAC ambulance at the scene and flown by Mercy Flight to University Hospital, police said.
No tickets were issued, police said.
