Auburn, NY--Auburn police Monday accused a 24-year-old of forcing his way into an Orchard Street home and using a large piece of wood to assault the victim and steal his money.

Anthony J. Telego II, 24, of 21 Logan St., Apt. 1, Auburn, was accused of two counts of burglary, robbery, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. All of the charges are felonies.

Here's what police said happened. Early on Sunday morning March 7, the victim heard a knock on the door. When he opened it, a man wearing a black mask forced his way into the Orchard Street home, assaulted the resident with a large piece of wood and stole money.
