Facebook’s latest changes to its privacy policy makes it longer than the constitution, offering over 50 settings and 170 options for users. With the high number of changes comes a high number of users’ interested in deleting their Facebook accounts altogether.

A new group has emerged amid the controversy in order to “organize the masses” so to speak and coordinate a mass exodus from Facebook – and they’re using other social networks to get the ball rolling.

“If you agree that Facebook doesn’t respect you, your personal data or the future of the web, you may want to join us,” Quit Facebook Day explains.

The group has launched their website, QuitFacebookDay.com, which asks users dissatisfied with Facebook to “commit to quit” the social network by May 31. Those who commit can sign the pledge using their Twitter handles.

Currently, about 2,682 members have signed their names.

There is also a Facebook Page that is devoted to “committing to quit” the social network. Currently, there are 1,071 Facebook members that have "liked" the page.
