Clay, NY -- A Syracuse man who lost control of his motorcycle in Clay Thursday evening was taken by ambulance to the hospital and faces multiple charges, police said.
Onondaga County sheriff’s deputies charged Frederick Carista, 47, of 202 Union Place, with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and illegally switching license plates on a motorcycle, after he crashed.
Carista was westbound on Bonstead Road, police said, when he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve, traveled about 300 feet across tall grass and struck a tree. He was taken by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
