An Oneida County grand jury indicted Jose Rodriguez, 55, on charges of murder in the second degree, manslaughter in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon. The case was sent to the grand jury in May.
State police accused Rodriguez of stabbing Frederick Velez, 39, in the heart during a fight on April 24 in G-dorm. Velez died on his way to the hospital.
Rodriguez will be taken to the Oneida County Courthouse on June 17 to be formally charged and arraigned.
