The new phone will have a front-facing camera and live video chatting capabilities.
Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs had finally revealed the new iPhone at the Worldwide Developer's Conference after many prototypes had been leaked and shown on popular tech blogs over the past few months.
The new iPhone 4 will have a front-facing camera, live video-chatting capabilities, longer battery life, and a display of 326 pixels per inch quality to name a few upgrades. Jobs said that the human retina is limited to 300 pixels per inch, therefore the phone will allow things to start to look like continuous curves and text will look like it’s a printed book.
Users will also be able to shoot video in HD and edit it on the new iPhone as well.
Jobs also stated that AT&T will allow upgrading to the iPhone 4 even if your contract isn't quite up.
“If your contract ends any time during 2010, you can get a new iPhone 4 if you re-sign a new contract,” Jobs said.
The new iPhones will go on sale June 24, with pre-orders beginning on June 15. The 16GB model will be $199, the 32GB model will be $299.
