Williamstown, NY - About 30 chickens died in a barn fire overnight in the Oswego County town of Williamstown, firefighters said.
The barn is across the street from 354 county Route 19, according to Oswego County 911.
Someone called to report the blaze at 2:05 a.m. When firefighters arrived at 2:12 a.m., they told dispatchers the barn was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from Williamstown, West Monroe, West Amboy, Redfield, Altmar, Florence and Camden responded. Oswego County sheriff's deputies also were on the scene.
No one was injured, although the chickens in the barn died, according to firefighters. The barn was destroyed in the fire, firefighters said.
