Richland, NY -- A toddler struck by a lawn mower Friday evening in Richland remains at Upstate University Hospital with serious leg injuries, according to Oswego County Sheriff's deputies.
The boy, William Lewis III, is almost 2 years old, said sheriff's Lt. Emerson Dillon. The boy was airlifted to the hospital after the accident shortly before 7 p.m. at 91 Canning Factory Road.
The injuries happened at the boy's residence. The boy's father, William Lewis Jr., was behind the mower at the time.
The incident has been ruled an accident, deputies said.
