Lincoln, NY-- Madison County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal accident this afternoon at the county landfill.
Deputies were called at 1:19 p.m. to the landfill on Buyea Road, a county 911 dispatcher said. The fatal accident happened inside the landfill site, the dispatcher said.
Undersheriff Doug Bailey confirmed the death, but declined further comment.
The landfill was closed after the accident, but will reopen Thursday, said county administrator Paul Miller.
