Cicero-North Syracuse High School is dismissing now due to an unpleasant odor that's spread throughout the building, district officials announced Friday.
The dismissal started at 9:35 a.m. Friday, according to an announcement by district officials.
The odor - described as not harmful - occurred when workers drained water from the building's cooling system Thursday evening. The water gave off a musky odor which has spread throughout the building.
The building is closed for the remainder of the day and there will be no evening activities, said Laurie Cook, school information officer. Schools in the district have a half day today.
