Oswego, NY -- Two fishermen were rescued Thursday from a drift boat that became entangled in a tree overhanging the Oswego River, according to the Oswego Fire Department.Firefighters were called to the river about 9:55 a.m. after other fishermen called 911, firefighters said. The men were trapped on the east bank of the river north of Leto Island.
The Oswego Fire Department rescue boat was able to take the two fishermen off the boat and the operator of the drift boat was able to free the craft from the tree, firefighters said.
No one was hurt in the rescue.
