Syracuse, NY -- Three Syracuse residents are charged with felony burglary and grand larceny following a Syracuse police investigation into an August burglary, Sgt. Tom Connellan said.
Shadaje Mobley, 19, of 104 Croly St., and Kempton Taylor Jr., 22, and Kylan Taylor, 17, both of 160 Didama St., were all arrested Monday, Connellan said.
The burglary was reported on Aug. 28, when the home owner returned from the state fair and found her house had been broken into, Connellan said. Among the proceeds of the burglary were credit cards, which proved to be instrumental in breaking the case, Connellan said.
The three attempted to use the credit cards at several commercial locations in the area, Connellan said. One place was an Erie Boulevard East tattoo parlor, where one of the suspects left his real name, Connellan said. The suspects also attempted to buy phones, and once again real names were used, Connellan said.
Suspects were also caught on video attempting to use the cards, Connellan said.
