Syracuse, NY – Clouds should clear Tuesday allowing temperatures to make it into the mid-70s, forecasters say.

The record high temperatures for the date is 78 degrees, set in 1963.

But snow is back in the forecast for Thursday night and Friday.

The National Weather Service expects winds out of the south to push clouds out of the way today and bring in some showers tonight.

But in the wee hours Friday morning cooler temperatures are expected to bring a mix of rain and snow before temperatures gradually reach a high of 46 degrees during the daytime Friday. That forecast high is 10 degrees lower than tonight’s forecast low.

Forecasters expect Friday night’s temperatures to drop into the upper 30s with daytime highs on the weekend recovering to the low 50s on Saturday and the upper 50s on Sunday.
