Syracuse, NY -- Syracuse firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire they put out this morning in a vacant two-family house at 100 W. Pleasant Avenue.
A call came in at 10 a.m. No one was inside the home, but three rooms had mattresses that looked as if they had been used recently. The fire was started in the back first-floor bedroom, Lt. Tony Morgan said.
He said the fire caused extensive damage to the first and second floors of the home.
