Camden, NY – A Taberg woman is in Oneida County Jail after sheriff’s deputies said she took a pot shot at a boyfriend after the two argued while hunting in Camden.

The incident occurred about 9 a.m. Saturday on state hunting land, off of Dingle Street.

Deputy J.F. Danquer, of the sheriff's Camden Field Office, said that Laurie Sharron, 45, was in the woods with a male acquaintance while he was hunting.

The two got in an argument. Danquer did not say why the two people argued.

The deputy said the woman picked up a .50 caliber muzzleloader and as the man walked away, fired once in his direction and missed.

Sharron was arrested for reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in county jail.

She was arraigned in Annsville Town Court, where bail was set at $50,000 cash.

She was being held in the Oneida County Jail and will return at a later date to Camden Town Court to answer the charge.
