Lodi, NY -- A Lodi man faces numerous rape charges after Seneca County sheriff’s investigators accused him of repeatedly beating, choking and sexually abusing a 25-year-old woman over several weeks.
Darin M. Parsons, 34, of 2649 State Route 96A was accused Thursday of 39 counts of rape, 22 counts of criminal sex act, and one count each of attempted criminal sex act, sexual abuse, and attempted assault, all felonies. In addition, he was accused of assault, a misdemeanor.
Investigators also allege Parsons made death threats to the victim, witnesses and the victim’s family.
The investigation, which began Monday, is continuing, and sheriff’s deputies said there is evidence of additional victims that were abused by Parsons.
Parsons was arraigned in the Town of Lodi Court and sent to the Seneca County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash or $200,000 secured bond. The court also issued a full “stay away” order of protection.
