The Chilean president, Sebastián Piñera, has promised the rescued 33 miners that their experiences would help to improve working conditions for their colleagues in mines across the country.Pinera, who had given his personal attention to the rescue effort, said Chile must learn from the experience. He promised fundamental changes in how businesses treat their workers.
