Salina, NY – With summer over, the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency has scheduled one last Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Event for 2010 to let county residents get rid of leftover pool supplies, driveway sealer and other chemicals.
The drop-off is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ley Creek Transfer Station, Seventh North Street, Salina.
Accepted products include oil-based paints and related materials, automotive fluids, garden supplies and pesticides, cleaning supplies and miscellaneous items ranging from mercury thermometers to nail polish remover.
Materials from businesses will not be accepted. Neither will latex paint.
