Traffic backing up on 690 and near LaFayette

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse area motorists are experiencing traffic backups in two places today. One backup is at the Interstate 690 eastbound ramp to Interstate 81 south, which is closed. Traffic backups related to the LaFayette Apple Festival also are expected until 6 p.m. on Route 20 and on Route 11 and I-81 between Nedrow and Tully.
