Syracuse, NY -- A man was shot in the leg tonight on Davis Street in Syracuse, polilce said.
Police responded to several reports of gunshots shortly after 9 p.m. An officer found a crowd gathered around a wounded man in front of a home at 218 Davis St.
Police converged on the area, finding shell casings, but no one has been taken into custody, said Sgt. Gary Bulinski.
Bulinski said the man’s wound was not considered life threatening. The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital.
His name was not available because police had not yet contacted his family.
Police were interviewing neighbors and others and asked anyone with information on the shooting to call police at 442-5222.
