Palermo, NY – A working mother of two from Palermo has won $1 million in the New York Poker scratch-off game, New York Lottery officials said.
Lottery officials did not identify the winner by name, but said she is 40 years old and a special education teaching assistant.
She is to receive her prize check at a presentation at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Big M supermarket where she bought the ticket, 3385 Main St., Mexico. Lottery personality Gretchen Dizer will make the presentation.
The winner is Oswego County’s second Lottery millionaire this year, officials said. Debra Noyes, 35, of Fulton, won $1 million on a Silver 6s scratch-off ticket in March.
