Auburn, NY -- Cayuga County has scheduled three seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccination clinics for October.
The county’s Health Department will hold clinics for people ages 18 and older on Oct. 8 from 1-3 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Mechanic Street, Cato.
Two other clinics will be held Oct. 13 and Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Finger Lakes Mall, 1579 Clark St. Road, Auburn.
Residents can schedule appointments online at http://co.cayuga.ny.us/hhs/doh.
People without access to a computer can call the Health Department at 253-1560 to schedule an appointment.
No one will be turned away, but appointments are strongly encouraged.
There is no charge for people with Medicare Part B who bring their card to the clinic. The department will bill Medicare Part B for the charges.
Those not covered by Medicare Part B will be charged $30 for a flu shot.
Pneumonia vaccines will be available with a doctor's prescription. A limited supply is available free of charge. When the supply is depleted, the cost for the vaccine will be $45.
